Most Common Deficiencies For AAAHC Chapter 10-II “Laser and Other Energy-Emitting Equipment”
The most common deficiencies our surveyors see for Chapter 10-II “Laser and Other Energy-Emitting Equipment” of the AAAHC Accreditation Handbook for Ambulatory Health Care:
Each type of laser/energy equipment must be included on a provider’s privileging list and approved scope of services.
There must be a designated safety officer and laser safety training for all providers/personnel working with laser/energy equipment.
A warning sign must be posted at the entrance to the treatment area when the laser is in use.
