Most common deficiencies for AAAHC Chapter 2 “Governance”, Subchapter III “Peer Review”

The most common deficiencies our surveyors see for Chapter 2-III “Governance: Peer Review” of the AAAHC Accreditation Handbook for Ambulatory Health Care:

  • Peer review must be on-going – not just at the end of a credentialing period.

  • Peer review must be reported to the Governing Body, therefore, it should be noted in the board minutes.

  • Anesthesia personnel must have evidence of peer review – even if they are independent contractors.
